Android P the Pie is Android 9 |Android|

Android  P the 9th Edition of the Android Operating System is Android Pie.
The first look was issued and this new OS by Google is ready to rock the mobility market.
Android and the Pie were spotted in Google's California Based Headquarter on 7th of August 2018.

The much awaited Android Pie is focused on simplicity, intelligence, and well-being. The on-air updated has been released for Eligible Google Pixel Phones and Essential PH 1.

A lot of amazing features are said to be included in this version of Android 9, but what caught my interest are:

The new Slice Feature of the Android Pie is said to be very powerful as it enables the partial function of the app to be active without even opening an App, for example, like you can book your UBER cab without even opening an App.

Another feature Digital Wellbeing is something which will track your habit how you use your phone, how many time you unlock the phone which app you use the most, how many notifications you received from where and also let you take the control like how you want to do things. Digital Wellbeing represents the Dashboard where you can see all these traced activities. Another feature is you can set the timer for the App you want to use, You can utilize Do not disturb mode now and also add a time to remind you it's time to go to bed and make you practise healthy routine.

Now we will talk about simplicity that means this version of Android is very easy to use, you may find it is even easier to navigate through the apps and running apps on this version of android then ever.
So we know this Android version is Android Pie which is also known as Android 9 or Android P and their earlier names of Android Operating system are as below:
  1. Android Donut (v1.6), The beginning of a new era of mobile computing.
  2. Android Eclair (v2.0)
  3. Android Froyo (v2.2)
  4. Android Gingerbread (v2.3), A big milestone, excellent graphics and high-end gaming. Remember Dell Streak.
  5. Android Honeycomb (v3.0)
  6. Android Ice Cream Sandwich (v4.0)
  7. Android Jelly Bean (v4.1). Another milestone with changed GUI.
  8. Android KitKat (v4.4)
  9. Android Lollipop (v5.0)
  10. Android Marshmallow (v6.0)
  11. Android Nougat (v7.0)
  12. Android Oreo (v8.0)
  13. Android Pie (v9.0), The present.
As you can see all the above naming given to Android Operating Systems are based upon the name of Sweets, so the latest one is based on the name of sweet American Pecan Pie.

How to enable Wifi and Lan at the same time ? | Windows 10 |

One of the recent questions raised to me as if we can use Wifi and Lan at the same time, the generalized answer is no we can not use it at the same time, second question - is there a workaround to this situation?
This is something I need to check out for!
So in order to search about did some research and found that many people posted a fix for Windows 7 but could not find the accurate fix for Windows 10 or we can say no one has really tried it so far.
So let's go ahead and make a note of what people were doing on Windows 7 and then we will try to replicate them in Windows 10.
Tried below steps:
Chances are, your laptop's wireless card has a "disable on wired connect" feature configured as a default.
  • In the Windows 7 Control Panel, launch Network and Sharing Center
  • Click "Change Adapter Settings"
  • Right-click the wireless adapter you're using
  • Left-click "Properties"
  • On the Networking tab of the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, click "Configure"
  • That will display the properties window of the wireless card.
  • Click the "Advanced" tab and see if there's an option for "Disable on wired connected" or Something similar to it would be there.
  • If there is, and it’s enabled, disable it.
Check in BIOS settings:
Some computers have a BIOS setting that determines this behavior. Whether this BIOS feature exists and where to find it is model-specific, but here are a couple of examples, which should at least help you figure out what to look for if you have a different model.
  • On HP laptops (probably all recent models, but I can vouch for EliteBook, ProBook, and ZBook systems), switch to the System Configuration tab, select Built-In Device Options, and uncheck the box next toLAN/WLAN Switching
  • On some laptops, go to Settings→ Power Management → Wireless Radio Control, and in the right pane uncheck the box next to Control WLAN radio.
Then one of the fellow friends suggested to try bridging:
  1. On the Windows 10, click on the Windows icon. Type view network connections and press Enter. (You can also type NCPA.CPL in Run Command box, Run Command box can be opened using WinKey+R).
  2. Identify your Ethernet connection and your wireless connection. The Ethernet connection is called Local Area Connection and the wireless connection is called Wireless Network Connection.
  3. Click on Local Area Connection to select it.
  4. Press and hold the Ctrl key and click on Wireless Network Connection to select it. Now you should have both connections selected.
  5. Right click on the selection and select Bridge Connections.
This legacy setting was superseded in Windows 10 with a new setting that is the "metric" much like in typical networking.
Go to your adapter properties, IPv4 settings, (keep current DHCP or static IP) and click on the "advanced button". There you will see the new checkbox andautomatic metric the textbox to enter manually at your discretion. The lower the number the higher the priority.
So as concluded for Windows 10 Machine try bridging the networks and see if works for you as well.

DVD/DVD RW Optical Drive not working |WIndows10|

Some of the Windows 10 users may report that they have connected the External/Internal DVD/DVD RW drive which is not working, External Optical Drive through USB and trying to use it with their Windows 10 Operating system , this situation will come in most of the time when there was recent update to Windows 10 or after reinstalling windows 10.

In order to fix the issue we can try two of the below  steps:

1: Reinstall the chipset driver & USB drivers available on support site of Manufacturer of Motherboard or Computer.

2: Delete the Upper filter and lower filter as below:
  1. Click Start,
type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
  3. If you see UpperFilters in the pane on the right side, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the UpperFilters registry entry.
  5. If you see LowerFilters in the pane on the right side, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete.
  6. Click Yes to confirm the removal of the LowerFilters registry entry.
  7. Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
Now restart the computer it should be working.

Note: If still not working it may be some issue with HW, to ensure and verify that issue is not with the HW you can try to boot the computer using the Bootable DVD Media. If it boots up through DVD then above steps should work or the DVD drive may need the special Drivers to run the type of DVD users may trying to run, for this, you can always look out for it on manufacturer's websites and applications provided with the computer. 'cause sometimes it happens that user tries to use the Blu-ray media and without proper application or nonsupported drive hence also need to check the kind of Media being used by the users.

| Windows 10 | Touch Pad not working.

Touchpad Not working inside Windows 10:

Windows 10 users may come across the issue when they will notice that the touchpad is not at all working and they tried connecting external USB mouse and it was working just fine.
May get worried that touchpad itself has gone faulty, but it is too soon to worry, so first, we have to try simple and easy issue identification technique and we may resolve the issue as well.
But before we proceed we need to verify whether it is a Software issue or Hardware (About which you are worried) issue.

Issue Identification:

First, we will go to the device manager and check for if the TouchPad is getting detected under Human Interface Device and Mouse and Keyboard input devices, it should get detected in either one of them.
If getting detected, then it is a simple issue with drivers open properties to check for status and try to uninstall and reinstall the driver form appropriate source.
Just in case it is not at all getting detected in device manager then there is no way to work around with the drivers, hence in this condition, we need to check the Touchpad functionality outside the operating system.
To check it I will recommend checking it in BIOS, depending upon your system’s manufacturer go into BIOS, nowadays most of the BIOS manufacturer supports Mouse and Touchpad support try checking it there.
Just in case if your BIOS does not support Mouse and touchpad in BIOS then try to check it in Windows Recovery.
It will conclude to two situations; 1: Touchpad is not working in BIOS/Windows Recovery. or 2: Touchpad is working in BIOS/Windows Recovery.

Situation one: Touchpad not working in BIOS and Windows Recovery, then it is identified as Hardware Problem you should contact the manufacturer for getting it repaired or contact local IT to get it fixed for you.
Situation two: Touchpad is working in BIOS/Windows Recovery, go to device manager and click on view menu on top select View Hidden Devices, now see if you see anything under Mouse and Keyboard input devices or Human Interface devices, just in case you find something new in there which is transparent just right click them and click on Uninstall, then go to Device manufacturer or chipset Manufacturer website and install the chipset drivers, now restart the computer. You will find your touchpad is working just fine now.
In most of the cases, you will find this specific issue when the customer will report after doing an operating system installation their touchpad is not working. Chipset driver is a fix for this issues.

Touchpad cursor erratic movement when the power cord is connected | Windows 10 |

You may come across the trouble that sometimes you find that the touch pad is working very erratic or lagging while you may have connected the AC adapter to the computer.

You may find that why it is changing its behavior while the adapter is connected.

You may also conclude that there must be some problem to the computer physically and the power supply is affecting the behavior of the computer.

But the reason behind the erratic behavior of the cursor lies with in the software and with the windows nothing to do with the physical hardware of the computer.
To ensure it I will recommend that you should go into the system BIOS by pressing DEL or F2 or ESC key at the boot depend upon the manufacturer of your chipset, if it is recently purchased computer recent means like within 3-4 years from now then I believe it should support mouse in BIOS and try to check it there with and with the AC/Power cable plugged in and see if it still shows erratic behavior in there, if not then it is confirmed that it is nothing to do with the HardWare.

So it leaves us with two situations:

1: If it does cause trouble in BIOS(for people who does not have cursor support in BIOS they can try using WINDOWS Recovery mode, I think I have discussed that in my previous post that how to get in there)  then you already knew it has something to do with HW so you can check it out with Hardware support for your computer they will replace either the Touchpad or the DC in or maybe both of them.

2: If it does not shows any erratic movement of cursor in BIOS or winRE mode then you are left out with software troubleshooting which I am going to help with as below :

Click on Windows Icon and type in on Cortana EDIT POWER PLAN

Select Edit power plan option as in above image it will bring up the Edit Plan Settings box as below:

Now click on Change Advanced Power Settings and it will bring up other box where you will be having different power options to select first thing first ensure you assign the power button action to Shutdown in there, because my experience with Hibernation has not been good on Windows 10 machine.  Last time I used Hibernation was with my Windows ME machine back in year 2002, found it to be major cause of No Boot issue. The reason why I do not recommend Hibernation will be explained when I will tell you about fixing Sleep Issues in Windows 10.  So for now lets stick to Erratic cursor issue.

Now just like in below image ensure that the USB selective suspend settings are enabled both in battery and without battery.
Now the Critical battery action.
In above image it shows Hibernate but you need to change it to Shutdown on  battery and Do nothing when plugged in.  It will somewhere help you PC to be very actively understanding the devices and the setting in the computer.

Now we are done with the edit power plan, Just to ensure that every thing is correct and this system will now never go in Hybrid Sleep/Hibernate then run one last command.

Open command prompt with Admin rights just like in below image:

Once in command prompt type in Powercfg -h off and press Enter
We are completely done with the editing power plan has been completed.

Now our actual Troubleshooting will start form here now open Device manager by right clicking on Windows 10's Windows logo on left hand bottom which is for opening the Start Menu as below:
Once in Device Manager expand Human Interface Devices:
Underneath Human Interface Devices check for USB Input Device
Now Double click on USB Input Device Options and open their properties box and on top select Power Management:
Now remove the tick mark from "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" repeat this step for all the USB input devices.
Now go to Universal Serial Bus controllers:

Here double click on the below option and even change there Power Management as we did in USB input Devices, check all the option for Power Management and remove the tick form all option listed under USB Controllers:

Now go to Network Adapter and check by any chance if you have Intel Dual Band Wireless card in there, if yes double click on that to open its properties then click on Advanced

Now in Advance on left hand side look for properties and in properties look for Transmit Power then on the right hand side change Highest to Medium Then click OK.
Intel Wifi may or may not be part of your computer hence if this option is not there then do not worry you can proceed with next step.

As we know that the cursor is being erratic only when the AC adapter is connected hence in this case we will try to uninstall and reinstall the battery drivers in device manager.
To uninstall the Batteries Drivers check the above image expand the Batteries and right click Microsoft AC Adapter then select uninstall, do the same for Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method Battery, once this both option are invisible from the device manager then click on the icon which is highlighted in green above with a arrow mark, which is for Scan for Hardware Changes, Click on it and it will reinstall the Drivers.

Now the final step click on Cortana Search Box and type in Touch Pad, it will populate the Options Select Touchpad Settings:
Now look out for the option as in below image which says Medium Delay,  just change it to No delay.
Now check and you will find that your issue is resolved and it is no more lagging or freezing while on AC adapter.

Now we will discuss how to directly download the Windows 10 ISO using Windows 10 Platform, so we are first going to open Google Chrome Browser and follow the below instructions:
In Chrome Browser click on the three dots button on the left-hand side top:
Then select the More Tool > Developer Tool
It will bring up the Developer Tool Bar on the right-hand side, Here you will be having small Toggle icon on the TOP of that bar.
Select Toggle Icon to toggle the browser to view Mobile/Tablet website which will make Windows forget that the website is open on Windows platform and will just react the way it is on Non-Windows Platform.

3-in-1 Windows Hello Fix, Windows Hello Setup Greyed Out, Windows Hello Error: Something went wrong & Windows Hello Domain Logon Fixed.

First issue, Unable to setup Windows Hello and getting error Something went wrong.
You may come across this error and may report that you are unable to setup Fingerprint logon using Windows Hello feature.
The fix for issue as I identified was very easy though no one really posted it on line or you can say you may find the fix for this issue but not in one single fix.
How to fix:
First, need to check the version of Windows 10, to check it you need to Hold the windows key + R so that it will pop up the RUN box.
In that run box type in WINVER to check the version, I bet it would be 1703 because I found this issue mostly on this version.
Once confirmed do the Windows 10 In place update. Bring windows to 1803 or later version.
Once update done you will face another issue that now that setting up Fingerprint option itself is grayed out.
But no need to worry we have perfect fix for it.
So, this post is really 3-in-1 fix, second issue is what to do if Windows 10 Hello Fingerprint setup is grayed out as in below image:

Unable to set Windows Hello Fingerprint Setup after upgrading the Windows 10 Pro to Version 1803 spring update the option to setup is grayed out as can be seen in the image above.

Identified the fix after having much search that the problem indeed was in registry glitch which just needs to be fixed.
How to Fix:
Need to open REGEDIT using a WINKEY + R in run box.
In there go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Windows > System
Remember that it may be possible that sometimes you may not find the Key System under Windows registry hence you may need to create the system value manually.
To do that right click Windows > New > Key Name new key as System.
Now on the right hand side column you will find registry String value named "(Default)" Now just right click it and select Modify and just copy “AllowDomainPINLogon”=dword:00000001 under Value Data after this just restart the computer and you will find that now you are able to setup the Windows Hello Fingerprint Logon.
So this Article was indeed 3-in-1 fix because we resolved Windows Hello Something went wrong issue, then we fixed Windows Hello Fingerprint Setup Grayed out issue and Finally while doing all this we also fixed the 3 issue which is Windows Hello Domain Login with Fingerprint issue.

Have you ever came across the situation where you exhausted subscription of MS Office 365 and now you want to get rid of it in Windows 10 but you really don't find it installed on your PC anywhere.

To ensure you went to Apps and feature under settings you tried and searching for it there was no MS office 365  but you may find get office you removed it still you find Office apps, so now you may have thought about traditional control panel program may have it so we tried searching for Appwiz.cpl (type in Cortana) and open it try finding MS office here if found you can remove it from here.

If you still don't find it then, in that case, go to Apps and feature under settings again search for Microsoft Desktop office App uninstall it now you will not find office anymore on the computer.

The reason you were not able to find the MS office 365 was that office 365 is cloud-based service from Microsoft so what MS did instead of putting in the whole package the simply installed small client App Office Desktop on your computer which was just making you feel that you were enjoying full featured pack version of MS office 2016.
